A study on Non-English Major Students’ Learner Autonomy: Difficulties and Solutions

Learning is no longer confined to the four walls of classroom but can happen at any time and place as learners wish. Thus, promoting learner autonomy – ability navigate their own learning - has been regarded focus education because it promises successful lifelong learning. However, students' level autonomy, difficulties when regulating learning, solutions for those problems are factors that educators usually believe out control. In order promote non-English major current research explores often neglected concerns. The collected quantitative data from survey answers 279 majors a public university in Ho Chi Minh City was analyzed using descriptive statistics content analysis. findings showed students not very confident with they have lot conducting on outside classroom. perspectives improving self-regulating skills, strengthening interactions teachers friends, receiving more support society. These present some pedagogical implications help study effectively
